Why Visit Vegas?

Las Vegas, better known as SinCity, is a city that is one of a kind. It is a different type of city completely different from any other city you may have visited. Eccentric Las Vegas is literally open 24 hours a day with the potential for you to do anything you can imagine.

Four Reasons To Visit Las Vegas:

  1. Gambling
The number one reason to visit Vegas of course is for the gambling. You don’t need to be a professional poker player, or a James Bond-esque baccarat connoisseur to enjoy the gambling. There are literally hundreds of different ways for you to risk your hard earned money that even the most amateur gamblers can enjoy. Just don’t risk more than you are prepared to lose!

  2. The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is without doubt one of the most spectacular, world renowned natural locations on the planet and a visit to Vegas simply has to be accompanied with a visit here. Take a day away from the gambling and bright lights, rent a car or take a Jeep tour out for a day you won’t ever forget.

  3. The Hotels
The sheer affluence and unadulterated luxury of the hotels make astonishing sights, especially in the evening. Even if you’re not a fan of gambling, hotels like the MGM, The Venetian, The Excalibur, Caesars and The Bellagio are all worth going to see just to ogle the affluence of these legendary hotels.

  4. Gondola Ride
Go to the Venetian Hotel and take a ride on a Gondola. The Venetian offers both indoor and outdoor gondola rides that take you to and from St. Mark's Square. Even if you have been to this beautiful city in Italy you will still enjoy this fantastic, incredibly realistic experience.

Where To Start Finding Cheap Flights To Las Vegas

Finding cheap flights online can be an imposing task in itself let alone finding a transatlantic flight across half of the world to the most vibrant, imposing, city in the world. Fear not! Booking cheap flights online and comparing the best deals available has become as easy as finding a cheap train ticket.

You have two options to consider. Do you want to book a package holiday (that includes flights and accomodation) or will you book them seperately? It really comes down to personal choice, fantastic deals are offered doing it both ways and a lot of the time it comes down to look. It's worth deciding if their is a specific hotel you would like to stay at as this can sometimes limit your choices.

NB - Hot Cheap Flights Tip#1

I would highly recommend using a cheap flights aggregator. They will let you input all your holiday details, the dates you wish to fly, times, where you want to fly from and then display all the results that match these criteria. See below for my favourite website for finding cheap flights to Las Vegas.

Transporation From Las Vegas (McCarran International) Airport

Great! You've decided that Las Vegas is the holiday destination for you. Now I bet your wondering where you will be flying to. Well, the official name is McCarran International Airport however on many websites it is just listed as Las Vegas Airport. These are the names that you will want to be looking for when you are scanning through your favourite cheap air travel websites.

Transportation to and from Las Vegas airport is easy and you have many different convenient options including Taxi, Limo, Rental cars, Shuttle, buses and walking although unless your an avid walker I would avoid that. If you decide to rent a car remember the freeways are usually busier from 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. so allow additional time to reach your destination during these hours.

10 Hot Tips To Help Find Cheap Flights To Las Vegas

  1. Compare the cost of a package holiday versus booking the flights and accomodation seperately. If your flexible here you can really save cash.

  2. Always consider low cost airlines. Most budget airlines will provide flights for a fraction of the price of regular chartered flights. It is worth compromising your flight for a few hours for the sake of massive savings.

  3. Use websites that aggregate all the holiday deals and compare these to the airlines prices directly.

  4. Always look to book your holiday well in advance, the days of booking late being cheaper are long gone.

  5. When selecting your flight remember to look for flights that leave at obscure times. Generally the flights that leave first thing in the morning will be most expensive and you will be able to make considerable savings leaving later in the day.

  6. If you can organise it, try to fly during the middle of the week. It is easy to get caught out paying more just to leave on a Friday or Saturday.

  7. Flexible when you can leave? Use websites that allow you to input flexible dates and they will show you the absolute cheapest flights from that entire period.

  8. Consider visiting Las Vegas in the Autumn or Spring, more tourists will plan on visiting in the Summer (during the school holidays) avoid the school holidays and you'll be amazed at how much you can save.

  9. Always compromise comfort for price. There is no good reason to ever go first class. If your worried about being bored, its only a few hours, just go to sleep.

  10. Once you have found a deal BOOK IT - Don't hang around to see if it gets cheaper.
